willy vlyminck This recording went under my radar in 1991, unfortunately. The good thing, I can catch up now. This is primarily a song orientated recording although the playing and arrangements are topnotch, and the whole is thing of beauty. I think even prog fans might dig this work. Highlights ? To many to name, but « Why Are We Alive » , “ Love Will Save You” and “ Power and Sacrifice “ are favorites,The latter with a bass line to die for.

sereneailment Thematics: we don't mean much to others -- ala. insignificance of you as a singular person to nature, loving someone who will one day die, loss of childhood innocence, ending another creature's life, etc... topics that hit home hard enough to get said artwork tatted on me. Favorite track: The Most Unfortunate Lie.

nitsch It is interesting how Michael Gira uses kind of "regular" songwriting-approaches on this release (contrary to "To be Kind" and "The Seer") Remarkable lyrics! Favorite track: Faliure.

Gothic, more protagonism when it comes to acoustic guitars and more of a neofolk vibe on it. I love how good Jarboe's vocals fit.
Love will save me <3 Favorite track: Love Will Save You.

𝔩𝔬𝔲𝔡-𝔮𝔲𝔦𝔢𝔱-𝔩𝔬𝔲𝔡 𝓑rutally sincere, savagely righteous and cruelly beautiful, Swans' crowning achievement rides a maelstrom of wistful devotions while coalescing into an abiding testament to life, love and the infinite darkness. Favorite track: Love Will Save You.

White Light from the Mouth of Infinity, Swans’ seventh studio album originally released in 1991, is considered the starting point for the second section of Swans’ inimitable history. Described as “…the glistening, glimmering sounds of the pensive countryside” by Stereogum, this will be the first time White Light from the Mouth of Infinity has been available on vinyl since its original release on Young God Records in 1991. The vinyl issue will include the track ‘Blind’, not included in the original release.
